Kinti is a contemporary ceramics brand inspired by the craft traditions of the Andes. Named after the Quechua word for hummingbird, the brand blends indigenous symbolism with modern design to create a timeless identity rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and nature.
My Role
Brand Identity Designer
I developed the complete visual identity for Kinti, translating the brand’s values into a cohesive identity system. My role included brand strategy, logo design, typography, colour palette, art direction, packaging concepts, and creating a flexible visual language across print and digital applications.
Challenge
The brand needed an identity that honoured Andean heritage without relying on clichés or historical pastiche. It had to feel refined, contemporary, and premium while preserving authenticity of handcrafted ceramics.
Solution
I built the identity around the hummingbird, a bird long associated with resilience, vitality, and the natural landscapes of the Andes. Simplified into a geometric emblem inspired by Inca sun motifs and headdresses, the mark became the foundation for a visual language of soft geometry, earthy colours and refined typography that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in heritage.
