Buying or refinancing a home is a high-consideration financial decision, but the QL digital experience had become fragmented across product, marketing and content. Years of design and technical debt had introduced inconsistent navigation, interaction patterns, branding and accessibility, making it harder for customers to understand their options, build confidence and move through key mortgage journeys.

Years of design and technical debt had introduced inconsistent navigation, interaction patterns, branding and accessibility, making it harder for customers to understand their options, build confidence and move through key mortgage journeys.
Solution
We approached the work as a connected product, brand and systems challenge rather than a visual redesign. By restructuring high-intent customer journeys, simplifying complex information, refreshing the visual language and introducing a shared, accessible design system, we created a more coherent experience across product and marketing while giving internal teams a stronger foundation for continued development.

The work also brought the platform to WCAG AA compliance and established a scalable design system integrated with the CMS, enabling teams to create and publish consistent experiences more efficiently.
